Donate Appeal for purchase of antibiotics for Pakistan flood relief
Waterborne diseases have emerged as one of the biggest threats in Pakistan after the floods.
Children and the elderly have been most affected, suffering from infectious diseases such as diarrhoea with blood, fevers, cramps, and life-threatening dehydration.
In poorly sanitised water, bacteria and parasites that cause dysentery, shigella, E Coli, and amoebiasis thrive. The elderly and children are at the greatest risk of complications associated with dehydration.
A total of 10,000 units of antibiotics at a cost of 0.55 pence each are being purchased by Sadaqah Project. We are purchasing directly from Pakistani manufacturers and will distribute to the most affected areas.
This project costs £5500, of which £1500 has already been raised. With a contribution of £5.50, you can purchase 10 units or £55 towards 100 units.

What do you say when giving Sadaqah?Say: Whatever ye spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good, -Allah knoweth it well. Kind words and the covering of faults are better than charity followed by injury. Allah is free of all wants, and He is Most-Forbearing.
Sadaqah Project is a community-run organisation based in London, U.K. (The meaning of Sadaqah is an act of charity that is voluntary and ongoing benefiting others).
As a "not for profit" community-based organisation, the Sadaqah Project work at a local level to improve the lives of the most vulnerable elderly citizens in our societies.
At Sadaqah Project, we will strive to implement the principle of transparency in all the work that we do and will facilitate the building of mutual trust among donors and partners as well as enhance cooperation with other community organisations.
We are responsible for the decisions that we make and the actions we take. We will be accountable to our donors by conforming to robust financial management and giving every opportunity to our donors to evaluate our performance.
Our accountability will ensure a strong reputation for our organisation.
In addition to our UK-based community services, we also have several projects internationally, please see our overseas projects page for more information.
